The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process by which adults are fully initiated in the Roman Catholic Church through being Baptized and Confirmed, (or it already Baptized in another Christian denomination, Received into Full Communion and Confirmed), and receiving Eucharist for the first time.

Participants are invited to journey together in faith, stepping through various stages of preparation, until truly prepared and ready to become full members of the Church.

At St. Nicholas, those who were baptized and either have or have not received Communion are included in this process as they prepare to complete their initiation in being Confirmed.

Meeting times vary as to the needs of the participants. While the sacraments describe above are usually celebrated at the Solemn Easter Vigil, they can be celebrated at another time depending once more on the needs of the participant.

Are you, or do you know someone who may be interested in becoming fully Catholic? Do you or does someone you know need to be Confirmed and are ready to move toward that completion? Then RCIA is for YOU!

For more information as to what you may need to become part of this ongoing process please contact your pastor, 610-767-3107.
